Dear Warner Records Management,

【Signing an internationally recognised artist means taking responsibility for her international success - not simply distributing her music and leaving fans to do the work.】

Warner Records has the resources, global network and specialist teams to build Jisoo's international presence. Yet the lack of meaningful promotional support for her releases raises serious concerns about whether those resources are being put to use. This is not a lack of potential on Jisoo's part, it is a failure of label support.

Warner Records has repeatedly promoted its extensive resources and expertise in artist development. In January 2025, Mike Chester was appointed General Manager, with responsibility spanning marketing, digital marketing, artist development, viral marketing, promotion and commerce. In July 2025, Warner announced a revamped marketing structure under his leadership, including dedicated executives for digital marketing, viral marketing, marketing strategy and streaming strategy.

Warner also has an established radio promotion infrastructure. In 2024, it announced Josh Reich’s promotion to SVP of Top 40 Promotion, overseeing the Pop Promotion Department and its work promoting singles to 170 radio reporters. These are substantial resources and specialist teams, publicly presented by Warner as central to its ability to develop artists and build successful careers.

【Jisoo should be receiving the benefit of that infrastructure.】

Instead, the international promotion surrounding her releases has been deeply disappointing. CLICK already received insufficient international visibility, with limited press coverage and little evidence of a coordinated campaign to reach audiences beyond her existing fanbase. With ADDICTED, the situation remains just as concerning: virtually no visible international media campaign and no meaningful editorial playlist support.

Fans should not have to organise their own international promotional campaigns, mobilise hundreds of streaming accounts and attempt to create visibility that should be supported by the artist’s label. Fan dedication cannot replace professional marketing, radio servicing, editorial pitching, digital advertising, media relations and international coordination.

This concern is particularly important in light of other artists’ experiences within the music industry. Bebe Rexha, who has worked with Warner Records, publicly spoke in July 2024 about feeling undermined, silenced and punished by the industry. During the same period, while discussing the promotion of her single, she stated that she had no marketing budget. Her comments are her own account, but they highlight serious concerns about how artists can be left without the promotional support their careers require. Warner should take these concerns seriously rather than allow artists to feel that they must fight for the resources and support needed to promote their own music.

Jisoo is an internationally recognised artist with an established global audience, significant public visibility and the potential to reach listeners well beyond her existing fanbase. That potential cannot be developed through distribution alone. It requires a label that actively invests in her releases, uses its international network and deploys the teams and expertise it publicly promotes.

Warner Records must take responsibility for the promotion of the artists it represents. Having dedicated departments and experienced executives means very little if those resources are not meaningfully applied to the artists who need them. Jisoo deserves the same level of professional attention, strategic planning and promotional investment that Warner claims to provide its roster.

We are asking Warner to stop treating international promotion as something that can be left to fans. The responsibility belongs to the label. Jisoo deserves a genuine global campaign, not simply worldwide distribution followed by fans trying to make up for the absence of visible promotional support.

We expect Warner Records to immediately take concrete action, allocate the resources necessary and deliver the global promotional campaign Jisoo deserves. The time for empty commitments and passive distribution is over.
