The Fourth Industrial Revolution is unfolding, and it raises an urgent question: how do old industrial economies reinvent themselves? Tony Hanson, deputy mayor of County Durham, England, is in Luoyang, central China's Henan Province, for the 2026 Global Mayors Dialogue with that question in mind. Durham, once one of the world's greatest coalfields, is facing the same challenge. Now Luoyang is carving out a path to "re-industrialization" through intelligent manufacturing and green development.

In an interview with CGTN's Zang Shijie, Hanson said Luoyang has breathed new life into its industrial heritage, where the legacy of an ancient capital coexists with the vitality of a modern city. For Durham and Luoyang, that is where the cooperation begins. http://t.cn/AXlVpU5X
