One of the things I admire most about Iga Świątek is her complete focus on the court.
She has handed out plenty of bagels throughout her career, but never because she dislikes her opponents or wants to embarrass them. Rather, it reflects her belief that every match deserves her full commitment.
When she steps onto the court, her responsibility is to play her best tennis—to respect her opponent, reward her team, entertain the audience, and do justice to her own hard work.
That mindset is what impresses me most. She does not compete against the scoreline or the optics of a result. She competes against her own standards, and she refuses to lower them, regardless of who is standing across the net.
