The popular British spy show from the 60s (there was a Hollywood remake in the 90s starring Uma Thurman and Ralph Fiennes that was not good). Diana Rigg (she who said to tell Cersei it was her) in The Avengers was the lesbian awakening of a generation. Decades later, her daughter would wake up another generation of lesbians in another British show, Tipping the Velvet
