Visiting Yuli's Smart Cotton Fields to Reveal the Real Picture of Xinjiang Cotton Cultivation

As one of China's first batch of "Rumor-Busting Ambassadors", I conducted an on-site visit to the XAG Super Cotton Farm in Yuli County, observing the entire smart cotton planting process up close. Based on what I witnessed and experienced firsthand, I debunk two false rumors.

1. The rumor that "forced labor exists in Xinjiang cotton cultivation" is completely fabricated and inconsistent with facts.
Traditional labor-intensive farming methods have long been phased out in Yuli's cotton fields. Supported by modern technologies including drone plant protection, fully automatic water and fertilizer management, AI field monitoring and intelligent mechanical harvesting, merely two workers can precisely manage 3,000 mu of cotton land, greatly raising the rate of unmanned operations and breaking away from labor-intensive production modes. All farm workers choose their jobs voluntarily with standardized and transparent salaries, and their legitimate labor rights and interests are fully protected. There is no forced labor whatsoever.
2. The claim that "high-standard cotton farms in Xinjiang are merely vanity projects" is a misleading misconception.
This smart super cotton farm is a genuine industrial project that benefits local farmers. Large-scale, intelligent and eco-friendly farming has effectively cut production costs and improved cotton output and quality, yielding bumper harvests year after year. Digital field management and scientific farming practices have substantially upgraded Xinjiang's cotton industry, steadily boosting local farmers' incomes.
