On 17 June 2026, the 2026 ASEAN-China (Zhengzhou) Cultural and Food Festival themed “Silk Road Charm, Embracing ASEAN" kicked off in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China. The landmark event was co-hosted by the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Henan Province, and the People’s Government of Zhengzhou Municipality. Over 170 dignitaries attended the opening ceremony, including Vice Mayor Li Fengzhi of Zhengzhou Municipality, and H.E. Shi Zhongjun, Honourable Guest of the ASEAN-China Centre. Government officials and local representatives from ASEAN Member States also graced the occasion, including Deputy Minister Bo Bo Kyaw of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation of Myanmar, Secretary of State Lim Lork Piseth of the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia, Mayor Saveuy Silavanh of Luang Prabang of Laos, alongside Ambassador of the Philippine, the rotating Chair of ASEAN, and representatives from Embassies of ASEAN Member States in China, as well as business leaders and delegates from ASEAN and Chinese enterprises and business associations.
2026年6月17日，中国—东盟中心、河南省人民政府外事办公室、郑州市人民政府共同主办的丝路风情·豫见东盟“中国（郑州）—东盟风情美食节”在郑州市拉开帷幕。郑州市副市长李凤芝、中国—东盟中心特邀嘉宾史忠俊、缅甸农业、畜牧和灌溉部副部长波波觉、柬埔寨商业部国务秘书林宗颖、老挝朗布拉邦市长萨伟等东盟国家政府官员和地方官员、东盟国家驻华使节、中国和东盟的企业及商协会代表共170余人共同出席仪式。

H.E. Shi Zhongjun noted in his address that this year marks the 5th anniversary of the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The economic, trade and people-to-people exchanges between ASEAN and China have become even closer. He emphasized that the 2026 ASEAN-China (Zhengzhou) Cultural and Food Festival, showcasing more than 50 participating enterprises from both sides, serves as a dynamic window through which the public can experience ASEAN food and culture and explore the world right at their doorstep. He expressed his hope that Henan would leverage its role as a key hub of the Aerial Silk Road to deepen business-to-business connectivity and accelerate deeper industrial synergy. Furthermore, he highlighted that the festival’s exhibitions would effectively enhance cultural exchange and bilateral trade, thereby continuously deepening practical cooperation and mutual understanding between ASEAN and China.
史忠俊在致辞中表示，今年是中国—东盟建立全面战略伙伴关系五周年。中国东盟经贸人文交流越来越紧密。本届“中国（郑州）—东盟风情美食节”汇聚50余家企业参展，成为民众了解东盟、联通世界的窗口。希望河南依托“空中丝绸之路”优势深化企业对接、推进产业协同，同时通过文旅项目展示增进文明互鉴，持续深化中国与东盟务实合作与人文相亲。

Vice Mayor Li Fengzhi stated that through rich formats including diverse product exhibitions and traditional folk performances, the festival vividly presents the multifaceted charm of ASEAN nations. It does not only build a practical trade matchmaking and market expansion platform for merchants from both regions, but also tightens the bonds of mutual understanding and friendship. Capitalizing on its comprehensive advantages in geography, logistics, agriculture, and market scale, Zhengzhou is dedicated to deepening economic, trade, and cultural exchanges with ASEAN. She looked forward to all parties taking this event as a new starting point to continuously expand cooperation and join hands to achieve mutual benefit and common development.
李凤芝表示，本次活动以产品展示、民俗展演等多种形式集中呈现东盟国家多元风情，既为两地商户搭建商贸对接、开拓市场的务实平台，也拉紧增进彼此了解、加深民间情谊的纽带。郑州凭借区位、物流、农业与市场等综合优势，不断深化同东盟的经贸往来与人文交流，期待各方以本次活动为新起点，持续拓展合作空间，携手实现互利共赢、共同发展。

H.E. Bo Bo Kyaw pointed out that culture and food are vital carriers for people and nations to promote mutual understanding, enhance cultural exchanges, forge friendships, and deepen cooperation. All parties anticipate utilizing this festival as a premier platform to consistently strengthen the economic and cultural connectivity between ASEAN and China, while vigorously developing smart agriculture and green agriculture. He warmly welcomed various sectors to invest in Myanmar’s food processing sector, cold-chain logistics systems, and technological infrastructure, assuring that Myanmar will provide transparent and robust policy support as well as investment protection measures.
波波觉表示，文化与美食是各国人民增进了解、交流互鉴、缔结友谊、深化合作的重要载体。期待以本次风情美食节为平台，持续深化东盟与中国经贸、文化往来，大力发展智慧农业、绿色农业。欢迎各界前往缅甸投资食品加工、冷链物流及农业技术基础设施领域，缅甸将提供政策支持与投资保障。

Following the opening ceremony, leading officials of Zhengzhou Municipality accompanied the distinguished ASEAN guests to visit the exhibition booths featuring specialty products from ASEAN countries and Henan Province, engaging in lively and friendly interactions with the participating enterprises.
开幕式后，郑州市领导陪同与会的东盟嘉宾前往东盟国家及河南省特色产品摊位，与参展企业进行亲切交流互动。

From June 17 to 21, the ASEAN-China (Zhengzhou) Cultural and Food Festival held at Yubei Street on Financial Island in Zhengzhou features specialty national pavilion exhibitions and interactive cultural performances from ASEAN countries, showcasing Southeast Asia’s unique cultural heritage and premium delicacies. Specialty products of Henan Province are also being exhibited and promoted, effectively boosting bilateral economic, trade, and cultural tourism exchanges between both sides.
