🌹中国的由来
Origin of the Name China

“中国”一词最早源于西周（1046 BC— 771BC) 初年的青铜器“何尊”上的铭文“宅兹中国”，意思为“居住在天下之中”，最早指周朝的都城洛阳一带，后经历三千多年的演变，最终成为国家的正式名称。
The term "China" originally derives from the inscription宅兹中国（Zhai Zi Zhongguo）on the bronze vessel He Zun (a bronze wine ritual vessel) from the early Western Zhou Dynasty (1046 BC—771 BC)，meaning residing in the center of the world. The original meaning referred to the area around Luoyang, the capital of the Zhou Dynasty. After evolving over three thousand years, it eventually became the official name of the state.

注：“何尊”1963年出土于陜西省宝鸡市陈仓区贾村镇。Note: He Zun was unearthed in 1963 in Jiacun Town, Chencang District, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province.
该文物是中国西周早期的青铜祭器，内底铸有122个铭文，其中“宅兹中国”是“中国”一词最早的文献记载。现藏于陝西省宝鸡青铜器博物院。This bronze wine ritual vessel (artifact) from the early Western Zhou Dynasty of China features 122 characters of inscription cast on the inner bottom.“宅兹中国" Residing in the Central Kingdom is the earliest known written record of the term "China". Currently it is housed in the Baoji Bronze Ware Museum, Shaanxi Province.
