报告摘要:
Dust grains in protoplanetary disks are the building blocks of planets, and characterizing their mineralogy and size distribution is crucial for understanding the earliest stages of planet formation. Mid-infrared spectroscopy offers a powerful tool for probing the composition and size of dust grains in the terrestrial planet-forming regions of disks. In this talk, I will present recent studies of dust properties in protoplanetary disks based on observations from Spitzer/IRS and JWST/MIRI. By combining spectral decomposition techniques with radiative transfer modeling, we investigate the mineralogical properties and evolution of dust grains across a range of disk environments and evolutionary stages. I will also discuss ongoing efforts that exploit the unprecedented sensitivity and spectral resolution of JWST to advance our understanding of dust processing and the early evolution of solids in protoplanetary disks.
