It is far harder to know oneself than to know others, and far more difficult to love oneself than to love others. When one holds in one's heart the middle way of humility and self-respect, one will be exceptionally resilient in the face of setbacks. Do not lose yourself to the temptations of the outside world, nor deny yourself because of temporary setbacks. See your shortcomings, and embrace your shining qualities as well. One who cannot be kind to themselves will never grow flowers in their heart that can warm others.
