大使卡里尔·哈什米在昆明举行的第7届中国—南亚合作论坛上发表了讲话，论坛主题为“加强合作伙伴关系，构建周边命运共同体”。他在发言中强调，巴中伙伴关系是南亚国家合作的典范；主张各方应调整思路，回应本地区数百万人民的愿望，并认真考虑建立中国—南亚发展论坛常设机制，以助力真正实现南亚人民对和平、繁荣、互联互通的美好愿景。

Ambassador Khalil Hashimi spoke at the 7th China–South Asia Cooperation Forum in Kunming on the theme of strengthening cooperative partnership and building a community with a shared future for neighboring countries. He highlighted Pakistan–China partnership as a model of cooperation for South Asian countries; advocated a rethink in approach that is responsive to the aspirations of millions in the region & giving a serious thought to establishing a standing mechanism on China South Asia Development Forum to realize the dreams of the people of South Asia for a more peaceful, prosperous, and interconnected region.
