在第三届辽宁国际友城大会召开前，大使卡里尔·哈什米同辽宁省委书记许昆林阁下共同出席使节集体会见。许书记除向来宾表示热烈欢迎外，还详细介绍了辽宁省不断扩大的国际伙伴关系网络，特别是与32个国家96个城市建立的友城关系。巴基斯坦通过卡拉奇与沈阳的友城协议，与辽宁省建立了牢固的联系。双方已敲定辽宁省与信德省建立友好省际关系的意向书。大使期待能够早日签署，进一步深化与辽宁省及省会沈阳市的双边交往。

Ambassador Khalil Hashimi attended a collective meeting of visiting dignitaries with Party Secretary H.E. Mr Xu Kunlin of Liaoning Province ahead of the 3rd Liaoning International Friendship Cities Conference. Apart from extending warm welcome, H.E. Mr Xu Kunlin gave a detailed briefing on the province's growing network of international partnerships, noting sister-city relations with 96 cities across 32 countries. Pakistan has developed strong ties with Liaoning Province through sister-city agreement between Karachi and Shenyang cities. Besides, the two sides have finalised an LOI establishing sister province ties between Liaoning and Sindh.The Ambassador noted that he is looking forward to its early signing and to further deepen bilateral engagement with the province and its capital city, Shenyang.
