发现还是有很多人误以为指环王是指至尊戒，其实是索隆
该短语在小说中凡四见，无一例外全是指索隆：
II.1：Ringwraiths, the Nine Servants of the Lord of the Rings

从最后一处可以看出，《THE LORD OF THE RINGS》按设定是弗罗多回忆录标题《魔戒之主的败亡和王者归来》的简写
从第二处可以看出，它有时又作The Lord of the Ring，这自然不可能是指至尊戒
事实上The Lord of the Ring是最初的写法，也是早期拟定的书名。草稿中有时会在这两个称谓间踌躇不决，阿拉贡也一度被称为The Lord of the Ring(s)
