昨晚和尹希聊天，震惊得知他已辞去哈佛正教授职位，加入了OpenAI（聊天时他正在去SF的路上）。虽然这两年我也关注并且几乎每天都在跟人讨论或看别人讨论AI，但主要还是集中在科技领域。直到昨天和尹希聊天，才真正意识到AI将如何巨大的改变这个世界，在各行各业，例如理论物理。他的观点是，“well I think academia as we know it will not exist in a few years. this is an unusual time. It has become very hard to discover new things in theoretical physics, I think the limitation is human capability, not theoretical physics itself, AI is better than most phd students now, and I can do much more at OAI than in the academic environment.”
