Asian champion Esha Singh delivered a sensational performance at the ISSF World Cup 2026 in Munich, Germany, clinching the women’s 25m pistol gold medal with a world record score on Wednesday.

In a high-quality eight-shooter field featuring reigning Olympic champion Yang Ji-in, Esha held her nerve through the elimination stages before finishing with a 43/50 in the final. The score stands as both the senior and junior world record.

Former world champion and European Games gold medallist Doreen Vennekamp of Germany settled for silver with 38/50, while Bulgaria’s Miroslava Mincheva claimed bronze with 31/45.

Earlier this year, Esha Singh had also won the individual 10m air pistol gold medal at the Asian Shooting Championships. Already a multiple ISSF medallist at junior and senior level, the Indian athlete showed exceptional composure and consistency throughout the final, extending her lead during the decisive stages and rewriting the record books in Munich.
