#中国—东盟中心简讯# 【ASEAN (Laos) Movie Night Successfully Held in Beijing 中国—东盟中心举办老挝电影之夜】

On 22 May 2026, the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) and the Embassy of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in China jointly held the “ASEAN (Laos) Movie Night” event at the ACC in Beijing. H.E. Shi Zhongjun, Secretary General of the ACC, Madame Soukvathsana Vongsack, Spouse of the Lao Ambassador to China, and Phouva Samounty, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Laos Embassy to China attended the event along with over 60 participants including diplomats from the embassies of ASEAN Member States (AMS) to China and university students from the AMS and China.
2026年5月22日，中国—东盟中心与老挝驻华大使馆共同举办“东盟（老挝）电影之夜”活动。中国—东盟中心秘书长史忠俊大使、老挝驻华大使夫人苏佳敏女士、老挝驻华大使馆副馆长普瓦公使出席活动。东盟国家驻华使馆外交官、中国和东盟国家学生代表等60余人参加本次活动。

Shi Zhongjun emphasized that 2026 marks the 65th anniversary of China-Laos diplomatic relations and the “Year of China-Laos Friendship.” In this context, the ACC planned a series of events focusing on China-Laos relations throughout the year. Today’s Movie Night is not only a cultural gathering, but also a meaningful tribute to the enduring friendship between the peoples of both sides.
史忠俊强调，2026年是中老建交65周年暨中老友好年，为此中国—东盟中心以老中关系主题为重点，举办了一系列活动。本次电影之夜既是一场文化盛会，也是对两国人民深厚友谊的致敬。

Phouva Samounty expressed sincere gratitude to the ACC for co-hosting the event. He stated that as a vital medium for cultural exchanges and people-to-people bonds, films have witnessed close Laos-China cooperation, with mutual screenings deepening bilateral understanding. Today’s event presents Lao cultural features and social values, contributing to deeper cultural mutual learning and friendly ties between ASEAN and China.
普瓦对中国—东盟中心联合主办此次活动表示诚挚感谢。他表示，电影作为人文交流的重要媒介，见证了老中两国间密切合作，增进了彼此了解。本次活动展现了老挝文化特色与社会价值理念，希望通过本次活动进一步增进老挝与各国之间的情感交流与友好关系。

The Lao film Swan Lifts Turtle, released in 2017, was screened at the event. The film draws on local folklore, advocates kindness and sincerity, and conveys warm and positive virtues. After the screening, students present shared their insights into the vivid story, which helped them gain a more intuitive understanding of Lao society and culture. During the event, diplomats had cordial exchanges with students about the movie and jointly tasted Lao specialty snacks.
活动现场放映了2017年上映的老挝影片《天鹅托龟》。该片取材于老挝民间故事，倡导善良真诚的品格，传递温暖正向的价值理念。观影结束后，与会青年学生踊跃分享观影感悟，纷纷表示对老挝社会风貌与文化特色有了更直观的认识。活动期间，各国使节与学生就影片内容展开亲切互动，共同品尝老挝特色美食，现场氛围热烈融洽。
