🎥 Ever looked at English spelling and thought, “Who invented this mess?” 😂
In this video, English Language Fellow Michael Gatto explains why English can feel so confusing—and why it’s definitely not your fault.
English started as a Germanic language, then borrowed words from French, Latin, Greek, and many others along the way 🌍📚. Basically, English didn’t grow neatly… it collected vocabulary like souvenirs. 😅
That’s why we say cow for the animal 🐄 but beef for the food 🍽️. Same animal. Different language history!
✨ So if English feels difficult sometimes, don’t worry—you’re not bad at English. English is just wonderfully chaotic. #AmericanEnglish# http://t.cn/AX6XnNh9
