Airborne Early Warning (AEW) aircraft / AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System)

预警机全称“空中预警指挥控制飞机”，是一种搭载大型雷达和先进指挥控制系统的特种军用飞机。它主要在空中巡逻，利用高度优势克服地球曲率和地面障碍物的遮挡，早期发现低空、超低空飞行的飞机、巡航导弹等目标，并承担战场指挥、通信中继、敌我识别和多机群协调等任务，被誉为“空中指挥官”或“飞行中军帐”。

An AEW aircraft, short for Airborne Early Warning and Control aircraft, is a specialized military plane equipped with a large radar and advanced command-and-control systems. Operating on aerial patrols, it leverages its altitude advantage to overcome earth curvature and ground obstructions, enabling the early detection of low-flying aircraft, cruise missiles, and other targets. It also undertakes battlefield command, communications relay, identification friend-or-foe (IFF), and coordination of multiple aircraft groups, hence often hailed as the "airborne commander" or the "flying command tent."
