🌹 Wenshu (the Bodhisattva of Wisdom or Manjusri) 文殊菩薩
Wenshu, the god of wisdom or the Bodhisattva of Wisdom (the Budhisattva 菩薩personifying supreme wisdom大乘經典特別稱道文殊師利的大智, depicted seated on a lion or on a lotus. The patron deity of Mount Wutai in Shanxi Province) is also regarded as one of the four well-known Bodhisattvas in China’s Buddhism. It is said that Wutai Mountain in Shanxi Province is the place where he performs the Buddhist rites. He is the left attendant of Sakyamuni who is in charge of wisdom. He has five hair knots on his head, with sword in his hand, symbolizing wisdom. He is often shown riding a lion representing wisdom, power and vigor. 文殊是釋迦牟尼的左脅侍,專司“智慧”,其造像多騎獅子。中國佛教尊為四大菩薩之一。相傳山西五臺山是文殊顯靈說法的道场。文殊 Manjusri 佛教大乘菩薩,為釋迦牟尼佛的左協侍,專司“智慧”,常與專司“理”德的右協侍普賢並稱。造像多騎獅子。中國佛教尊為四大菩薩之一。相傳山西五臺山是文殊顯靈說法的道场。
