明年十年了啊啊啊啊啊啊!!!
Dear respected Romeo
Upon this joyful birthday occasion, I take pen in hand, to voice the sincere thoughts hidden in my heart, and offer you my most earnest blessings.
It has been nine years since I began my English learning journey under your tutelage. Nine years, by any measure, is a considerable portion of one's life—a period long enough to witness the transformation of a young student into a person of discernment and sense. At first, I was but a silent name among many students, burdened with pride and indifference toward the English language. It was you who slowly taught me: language is not a pile of tools, but the very sinew of thought; not a barrier, but a bridge.
How often did you correct my pronunciation—and, in doing so, correct my narrow view of the world? I once believed grammar was a prison; you showed me it was the hedge of a garden—orderly, yet never hindering its bloom. Not only for teaching me to speak more accurate sentences, but for teaching me to hear farther and wider voices. You have not only instructed my mind but have, in your own way, refined my character.
Today is your birthday. Allow me, as a student shaped by your hands, to wish you a very happy one. May your days be as clear, as rich, and as full of gentle surprises as the English you teach. I shall keep moving forward with the knowledge and spirit you passed down. Thank you sincerely for walking alongside me for nine precious years.
Your most devoted and grateful,
Royle Crawley
P.S. If you read to the end, I have one more request—please remain the Mr. Chow who smiles at a poem and frowns at a misplaced comma.
