On the journey of life, the most futile form of communication is complaining. When you pour out all your grievances to others, no matter how deeply they care about you, they can never change the person you're complaining about for you. And the person you're criticizing will never feel fear because of your complaints; instead, they will only feel full of resentment and resistance. Such is human nature—who would willingly carry out orders they deeply resent? In fact, when facing people and things that displease you, there have always been only two most clear-headed paths: either learn to practice tolerance and accept that everyone has their own limitations and differences, or turn away calmly, without getting entangled or draining yourself, and leave with dignity. Upon careful reflection, the vast majority of complaints in the world are nothing more than protests launched outward by our inner self-attachment. Let go of your demands and choose tolerance or turning away, and that is when you are truly setting yourself free.——Respected Teacher Jia Cuo
