My visit to the nursing home where my Mom is at, my relationship history with her was never easy, I’m the youngest of 3 and being the only girl, instead of being the “princess” other than up to puberty with my dad, I was the brunt of her resentment and trauma and unfulfilled wishes, a lot of gaslighting, but seeing her in this condition is very painful and heartbreaking at times, seeing her with dementia slowly withering her away ( actually she is doing great yesterday) makes me realize and want to share with everyone, is that you never know when your circumstances in life can change and that you should cherish each day and count your blessings! Also, a little bit of kindness is never forgotten for the rest of a persons life, especially with the other elderly in this home. Apparently my Mom is very popular in there with the PSW’s and other elderly, she is very loved and blows kisses to everyone! LOL the kissing bandito! 😂😆🤗 Reason I don’t show much of her is bcs if she was all there she would feel totally humiliated! As a kid she always made sure we were dressed nice and presentable, she worried too much about wha others thought!
