在贪嗔痴的强大相续中，想要生起一念善心，是很不容易的。即使生起，也往往没有多少力量，由此产生的果报自然有限。就像芭蕉的果实生成后，树身很快就会枯萎。世间的普通善行也是如此，非常微弱，且充满着不确定。
Within the powerful continuum of greed, anger, and ignorance, it is not easy to give rise to even a single wholesome thought. Even when such a thought does arise, it often lacks strength, and the resulting karma and fruition are therefore limited. It is like the banana tree, which withers soon after bearing fruit. Ordinary good deeds in the world are much the same—fragile and filled with uncertainty.
