凡夫的善行是建立在有漏的妄心系统，建立在无明和贪嗔痴的基础上，力量微弱。反之，不善的串习极其强大。在这样的生命系统中，想以有漏的善心善行，抵挡贪嗔痴的串习，难度极高，必须不懈努力。
The virtuous deeds of the ordinary people are founded upon a the deluded mind—rooted in ignorance, greed, and aversion—thus their strength is weak. In contrast, unwholesome habitual tendencies are exceedingly powerful. Within such a system of existence, trying to counteract the habits of greed, anger, and ignorance with contaminated forms of goodness is extremely difficult and requires unwavering effort.
