#中国—东盟中心简讯# 【SG Shi Zhongjun Meets Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam】

On 20 April 2026, H.E. Shi Zhongjun, Secretary General of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), met with Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei, in Hanoi, Vietnam. The two sides exchanged views on the ACC’s role in carrying out the consensus between state leaders of ASEAN Member States and China, advancing the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and upgrading the building of the Vietnam-China community with a shared future.

Both sides agreed that with the successful conclusion of Vietnamese President To Lam’s state visit to China, the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries has entered the “fast lane” of innovation. A series of cooperation initiatives launched by the state leaders of both sides have provided guidance to the future development of Vietnam-China relations. The robust relations between the two countries have also made a tangible contribution to the ASEAN-China relations and regional stability and prosperity. The ACC could further identify areas of practical cooperation including emerging advanced industries and the recently launched Vietnam-China Tourism Cooperation Year 2026-2027. The ACC looks forward to working with the Chinese Embassy in Hanoi to further advance the building of the Vietnam-China community with a shared future that carries strategic significance and a closer ASEAN-China community to new heights.
