今天是《Fine Valley Pass 嘉峪关》发行十周年。这张EP基于2013年在甘肃嘉峪关采集的田野录音与环境声景创作而成，是一次将“地方”转化为声音的早期尝试。标题源自对这座城市中文名称的逐字直译，每一首作品也以中英文对应的单个词命名：嘉、峪、关。其创作最初源于一次旅程——前往参加“丝绸之路·嘉峪关长城（国际）音乐节”的演出。厂牌： Aud-Art (2016)

Today is the 10-year anniversary of the release of Fine Valley Pass. Built from field recordings captured in Jiayuguan, Gansu (2013) and ambient soundscapes, this EP was an early attempt to translate place into sound. The title comes from a direct translation of the city’s Chinese characters, with each track named as a single word in both English and Chinese: 嘉 峪 关. It was originally sparked while traveling to perform at the Silk Road -Jiayuguan Great Wall Music Festival. Thanks to Aud-Art for releasing it back in 2016!
