On 9 April 2026, the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) hosted a Briefing in Beijing on ASEAN-China Agricultural Development Cooperation and the 2026 ASEAN-China (Zhengzhou) Cultural and Food Festival (hereinafter referred to as the “2026 Festival”). Mr. Wang Pu, Deputy Secretary General of the People’s Government of Henan Province, representatives from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Foreign Affairs Office of Henan Province, the People’s Government of Zhengzhou Municipality, and leading enterprises from Henan, together with representatives of the Embassies of ASEAN Member States (AMS) in China, and several AMS Business Associations in Beijing attended the event.
2026年4月9日，中国—东盟中心在北京举行中国—东盟农业发展合作暨“2026中国（郑州）—东盟国际风情节”系列活动（下称“2026风情节”）吹风会。河南省政府王朴副秘书长及省农业农村厅、外事办公室，郑州市政府相关负责人及企业代表，东盟十一国驻华使馆代表、东盟有关国家在京商协会代表出席。

Secretary General Shi Zhongjun stated in his address that the year 2026 marks the fifth anniversary of the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) and the first year of implementation of the ASEAN-China Plan of Action on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (2026–2030). Given the severe challenges posed by geopolitical conflicts to energy and food security, agricultural cooperation between China and ASEAN is of great significance. The ACC and Henan Province have jointly organized two successful sessions of the ASEAN-China (Henan) Cooperation and Development Conference on Food and Agriculture (ACCFA), which have yielded concrete results. The goal is to establish a long-term cooperation platform to jointly address challenges, advance agricultural modernization, increase food production and quality, safeguard food security, and inject new momentum into regional economic growth. The 2026 ACCFA is scheduled to be held in October in Henan, focusing on smart agriculture, supply chain development, and technological innovation. The upcoming inauguration of the ASEAN-China Economy Development Centre (ACEDC) and the “2026 Festival” series of events in Zhengzhou are part of the follow-up to the outcomes of the 2025 ACCFA, which are dedicated to promote practical cooperation between ASEAN and China.
史忠俊秘书长在致辞中表示，今年是中国东盟全面战略伙伴关系5周年，《中国—东盟全面战略伙伴关系行动计划（2026—2030）》实施首年。在当下地缘冲突给能源、粮食安全带来严峻挑战下，中国与东盟开展农业合作意义重要。中国-东盟中心与河南省共同打造面向东盟国家的粮农合作发展大会已成功举办两届，取得具体成果，就是为了建立长期合作平台，携手共同应对挑战，在农业现代化、提高粮食产量和品质、保障粮食安全，为区域经济增长注入新动能。2026年粮农大会将于10月在河南举行，主题将聚焦智慧农业、供应链发展和技术创新。即将在郑州启幕的中国—东盟产业发展中心（下称“产发中心”）及“2026中国（郑州）—东盟国际风情节”系列活动，正是落实2025年大会成果，持续推动双方务实合作。

Representatives from Henan Province elaborated on Henan’s advantages as a major agricultural and economic province in cooperating with ASEAN. They stressed that the ACEDC aims to establish a long-term mechanism and platform for promoting two-way agricultural investment and trade between ASEAN and China, while the 2026 Festival is designed to further expand market access for ASEAN products into China. Henan looks forward to deepening cooperation with ASEAN in areas such as smart agricultural machinery, livestock and poultry farming, modern seed industry, agricultural product processing, service trade, and agricultural product import and export, achieving complementary advantages and mutual benefits.
河南省及郑州市代表在会上详细介绍了河南作为农业经济大省与东盟开展合作的优势，强调产发中心旨在为促进中国东盟双向农业投资和贸易建立长期机制与平台，风情节旨在扩大东盟商品进入中国市场。河南方面期待与东盟在智能农机、畜禽养殖、现代种业、农产品加工、服务贸易、农产品进出口等领域深度对接，实现优势互补，双向共赢。

Representatives of the AMS Embassies in China noted that strengthening food security and upgrading agricultural value chains are common priorities shared by all parties. They highly appreciated the ACC’s efforts in building bridges and platforms for agricultural cooperation for the AMS countries and commended Henan’s potential, commitment, and strengths in agricultural collaboration as well as culture and tourism exchanges with the AMS. They stated that the Embassies will deeply engage in the 2026 ACCFA as well as the 2026 Festival series events, work closely with the Henan side, and contribute to regional food security, agricultural modernization, and the advancement of the CSP.
东盟国家驻华使馆代表表示，加强粮食安全、提升农业价值链是各方共同关切，十分感谢中心为东盟国家农业现代化发展积极搭建合作桥梁与平台，赞誉河南与东盟农业合作及文旅交流潜力、意愿和优势。各馆将深度参与粮农大会，以及风情节系列活动，与河南深度对接，为地区国家粮食安全和农业现代化发展，以及推进中国东盟全面战略伙伴关系做出努力。

Outside the venue of the briefing, agricultural enterprises from Henan Province exhibited their featured products, which drew keen interest and lively interaction from the AMS representatives.

The inauguration of ACEDC will take place on 17 June 2026 in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. The 2026 ASEAN-China (Zhengzhou) Cultural and Food Festival will last for five days, coinciding with the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival. The 2026 Festival will feature national booths for each of the eleven AMS, promoting and selling fruits, agricultural and processed foods, coffee and culinary delicacies, cultural and creative products, as well as cultural and tourism services.
产发中心启幕将于2026年6月17日在河南省郑州市举办。2026中国—东盟风情节为期五天，适逢端午，将设置东盟十一国国别展台，展销水果、农产品及加工食品、咖啡和美食、文创产品以及文化旅游服务等。
