时不时，我喜欢读一些简短好读的小书，读一些心灵鸡汤、life affirmations。

刚读了本 John Cena 的 Be a Work in Progress，充满自我反省和积极鼓励的文字，配有可爱有趣的插图，是一份不错的阅读甜点。

Be a work in progress 是英语世界中常见的一句话——接受自己是“半成品”“永远在路上”的状态，那该怎么做呢？作者说要欣赏脆弱，对自己保持好奇，当自己要说「I can’t」的时候，把它变成「I can’t just yet」。

我注意到了下面几句话，想表达的意思很简单，不过用这种语言呈现，会让人更容易记得住：

- Never outgrow being thankful. 

- Attitude is a boomerang: whatever you throw out there will come back your way.

- When we find ourselves going through hell, we have to keep moving. 

- Make sure you are more of a person than a persona.

- Life is about the ride, not the vehicle you show up in.

读完我还在一张纸上抄了一遍。我们需要这些鼓舞人心的简单文字，它们像是咒语一样让我们安静下来，让感受和思考都冒出来，在别人的文字中找到自己的声音，创造自己的版本。
