The husband studied on an island far from his home. When his wife went a long way to send meals, the food always got cold.

to cause (a letter, an e-mail, a package, etc.) to go or to be carried from one place or person to another

I sent the letter/package/check to her.

I mailed the letter/package/check to her.

国外一些送餐网站用的标语就是send meals to friends and family

要表达“亲自送饭”,应该说bring somebody meals或者take meals to somebody

The men, one in his mid-60s and the other in his 80s, could not work and were confined to their cell for 23-and-a-half hours a day and relied on fellow inmates to bring them meals.

(1) I take my child to school every morning.

(2) I walk my child to school every morning.

Dads Take Your Child To School Day",以此来鼓励父亲多去接送小孩。

同样的道理,“送某人到机场”应该说take somebody to the airport,而不能说send somebody to the airport

Companies often send gifts to clients during the holidays.

We gave the teacher a gift after the concert.
