I guess Peter Pan was right
If time stands still, my silent thoughts drift deep
Into the tales my mother told at night
I met a boy in green, within my sleep
And kept that soaring figure in my sight
Beneath his lead we fly, so swift, so free
Like sparks that scatter through the midnight sky
Time flees fast and the stars slip after me
And laughter lingers long before goodbye
all begins to fade like distant collage
That boy I met was never meant as me
Fairy tales lack truth like a mirage
And dreams must bow to what must someday be
If time turned back along that vanished night
I’d know why I thought Peter Pan was right
