At MWC26, Qualcomm joined industry leaders in a milestone-driven coalition to accelerate commercial 6G systems beginning in 2029. We are designing 6G as an AI-native system built on three foundational pillars: connectivity, wide-area sensing, and high-performance compute. This is an end-to-end effort spanning devices, networks, and cloud infrastructure, with alignment on standards development, early system validation, pre-commercial demonstrations in 2028, and a global interoperable rollout in 2029. Qualcomm has helped lead every wireless generation, and we know what it takes to turn a technological transition into a global reality. However, success will depend on strong and dedicated partnerships, shared purpose and joint innovation. The coalition announced today unites leaders across telecom, infrastructure, cloud, devices, and automotive, and I’m excited to build what’s next, together.
