Liang & Wang Seek to Continue Good Run at Home
梁王本土作战 力争延续火热状态
Playing on home turf has proved auspicious for world No.1s Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang. After winning the TotalEnergies BWF Sudirman Cup Finals 2023 in Changzhou, Liang and Wang enjoyed title success at both HSBC BWF World Tour events in China – the VICTOR China Open 2023 and the LI-NING China Masters 2023.
在主场作战，对于世界排名第一的梁伟铿和王昶来说，似乎总能带来好运。继在常州举行的2023年苏迪曼杯夺冠后，梁王在中国举办的两站巡回赛——2023年中国公开赛和2023年中国大师赛中，同样成功登顶。
Now, with the HSBC BWF World Tour Finals 2023 due in Hangzhou in a few weeks, Liang and Wang hope the good run will continue.
几周后，2023年汇丰世界羽联世界巡回赛总决赛即将在杭州拉开战幕，梁和王希望这个好状态能够延续下去。
“I hope we can win our third event in China. We will go back to training and analyse our performance at the China Masters before starting our preparations for the World Tour Finals,” said Liang.
梁表示："我希望我们能在中国拿下第三个冠军。我们会先回去总结这次中国大师赛的表现，然后投入到总决赛的备战当中。"
The China Masters was their first title since becoming world No.1. Quite interestingly, despite winning a Super 1000 title and ascending to the top of the rankings, Liang and Wang claimed they didn’t feel worthy enough.
中国大师赛是他们在成为世界第一后的首个冠军。有趣的是，尽管赢得了超级1000赛冠军并攀升至排名榜首，梁和王却表示他们觉得自己还不够资格。
“I did discuss this with Wang Chang,” said Liang. “We aren’t deserving of the No.1 ranking status as haven’t won any major title so far which would complement our top ranking. Although we won the China Masters, we don’t think we’re still worthy of being No.1.”
梁伟铿透露：“我确实和王讨论过这件事”，我们觉得还配不上世界第一的头衔，因为到目前为止，我们还没有赢得任何一项足以匹配我们排名的重大赛事冠军。虽然赢得了中国大师赛，但我们仍认为自身实力与世界第一尚有差距。"
That might be sounding excessively modest, for the duo have sparkled right through the year, beginning with the PETRONAS Malaysia Open, where they made the final. They won the YONEX SUNRISE India Open and were in the semifinals of the YONEX All England, before back-to-back finals in Thailand and Singapore.

After picking up bronze at the TotalEnergies BWF World Championships 2023, the Chinese duo won the China Open and more recently, the China Masters.

Results apart, Liang and Wang bring personality to the court, with Liang’s physical play from the back ably complemented by Wang’s skillful control of the play. As a pair, they have a distinct style compared to other Chinese combinations.
除战绩亮眼外，梁和王更在赛场展现出独特个性，梁在后场势大力沉的扣杀与王昶在网前精妙绝伦的掌控相得益彰。相较于其他国羽组合，二人形成了独树一帜的战术风格。
They will head to Hangzhou in good spirits, having won one of the standout men’s doubles matches of the year.
