How Well Do You Know the United States?

In 2026, the United States celebrates two and a half centuries since its founding, a journey marked by creativity, innovation, and a spirit of discovery. To mark this special anniversary, the Shanghai American Center invites students to join our America Uncovered Student Trivia Game!

At each session, we’ll start by uncovering an aspect of America we know you have lots of questions about, and you’ll hear from our EducationUSA adviser and special guests about the U.S. university experience, application process, and best tips for successful studies. Then, team up with other attendees for a trivia game featuring questions about American history, culture, inventions, and everyday life. Whether you’re a fan of music, movies, science, or sports, or simply looking for more information about U.S. study, there’s something for everyone!

Come discover how the American experience has evolved over two and a half centuries and see what lessons and inspiration it offers for the future. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams!
The event will be conducted in English.

When:

February 10, 14:00 – for high school students
February 11, 14:00 – for college students

Who Should Apply:

High school students who are interested in studying in the United States. Priority will be given to grade 12 students who have already applied or been accepted to study in the United States and to Grade 10-11 students who have already taken U.S. college entrance exams (ACT or SAT).

College students who are interested in studying for a master's or higher-level degree in the United States. Priority will be given to those who have already applied or been accepted to U.S. universities and those who have taken graduate-level entrance exams (GMAT, GRE, LSAT, MCAT, etc.).

How to Apply:

Please complete the application form by scanning the QR code below. Registration deadline is 12:00pm February 5. If you are accepted, you will be notified before February 6th via email.
