1. My Happy School Day​
My name is Lily, and I am in Grade 4. Every weekday, I have a happy school day. I wake up at 7 o'clock in the morning. My mom cooks delicious breakfast for me—usually milk and bread. I put on my blue school uniform and walk to school with my best friend, Tom.​
Our school is big and beautiful. There are many colorful flowers in the playground. There is a small library with lots of storybooks, too. My favorite class is English class. Our English teacher, Miss Wang, always plays fun games with us. We sing English songs, do word puzzles, and act out short dialogues. Last week, we acted out "The Little Red Hen"—I played the hen, and Tom played the cat. It was so funny!​
At noon, we have lunch in the school canteen. I often share my apples with my classmates. After lunch, we play games like hide-and-seek or jump rope. In the afternoon, we have math and art classes. I like art class best because I can draw pictures with crayons.​
School finishes at 4 o'clock. I walk home with Tom, and we talk about our day. I love my school because it has nice teachers, good friends, and interesting classes. Every school day is a happy day for me!​
