Be punctual, whenever you say so. If everyone behaves in a uniform way, it cannot be called performing Nirvana or performing life and death.
今日中夜，当入无余涅槃：一般地来说，佛出世是在午时十二点，那么灭度就是选择在夜里子时十二点。都是表中庸之道，是表万法的一个标准。诸佛的一言一行都有深刻的含义，我们要当心。他其实也可以上午，也可以下午。但他一定要选这个时候来示现，也表现了佛的去留自在。准时，说什么时候就什么时候。大家都是千篇一律地来示现，否则就不能叫表演涅槃，表演生死。
