I haven’t talked much about this, perhaps out of either nervousness or slight embarrassment, but at the present moment I am not signed to a record label, nor do I have any management. I’ve never known my career (or really my life) without both, and operating the past year without a label team or a manger has been incredibly daunting, and a lot of work. But, it has opened my eyes, too. I have come to realize that while I might not have the most traditional industry support right now, what I do have is a sense of freedom, and a sense of energy that I’m not sure I have ever experienced as an artist. I believe in my music and in my vision so whole-heartedly that I’m not going to wait around for all the right pieces to fall into place. No, I’m moving forward. So… just know that every piece of this next cycle is coming straight from me, directly from the source, no strings attached. And if you love your boy, please run it up will you?
