just saw the physical copy of Hotel la Rut from 星外星音樂（the chinese label that hotel la rut is released on), and I was so genuinely touched when I opened it. the way they made it was exactly how I could’ve wished it could be. the texture of the paper, the ink, the overall feel of the booklet—it doesn’t just feel like an album sleeve; it feels like an actual little poetry book, like the spirit of the album came alive on the paper, even without the music. which is in someways how i always wish the design/music videos, everything about the album hopefully conveys the same world, which is sometimes a harder reality to achieve.
It feels like a more complete, more fully realized piece of work now. so grateful for the heart they put into it. rare to have something come together in a way that feels this right. feels like magic! thank you 星外星
