🌋Part III: Are different parts of your country different?

I would definitely say yes. You know, China is so big that the south and the north of China are geographically and culturally different. Geographically, the south is a lot warmer than the north. In the north, everything is freezing and covered with snow, but in some places like Hainan Province, which is located in the south, you are not likely to see any snow in winter; instead, you would see many flowers in full bloom. Culturally, in the south, there are more dialects, which are difficult to be understood. For example, my roommate is from Guangzhou. Whenever she chats with her families in Cantonese on the phone, I would be very confused by what she is saying. Although there are a lot of differences between the north and the south, I don’t find it a problem to get along well with friends who are from the south.
