flumen是国际云图最近新增的附属云,它只作为“超级单体雷暴积雨云”的附属云出现。flumen也被称为入流尾,它平行于低层风排列成条状,并指向超级单体雷暴的无雨区。本视频中可以明显观察到flumen向超级单体中心移动。 flumen形于超级单体雷暴入流区和FFD交界处,沿伪暖锋进入超级单体雷暴。云体沿着气流上升并向超级单体移动,有时可能发生旋转。flumen不附着在墙云(murus)上,墙云是超级单体雷暴上升气流底部区低于抬升凝结高度的云,flumen的云底高于墙云,一般位于或高于抬升凝结高度。本视频中已处于夜间地面存在稳定层结,中气旋的巨大抬升吸力导致了稳定层结中出现抬升凝结,形成了双层flumen。此外,同时还可在FFD前方还可以观察到倾斜于中气旋的降水线迹。

On May 25, 2023, a supercell thunderstorm occurred at night in Grady, New Mexico, USA. Its uninterrupted lightning illuminated the flumen structure beneath the cloud. Flumen is a newly added cloud in the International Cloud Atlas, which only appears as a supplementary cloud of the supercell cumulonimbus cloud. Flumen, a.k.a. inflow tails or beaver tails, are arranged in a strip parallel to low-level winds and point towards the rain-free base (RFB) of the supercell thunderstorms. In this video, it is observed that the flumen is moving towards the center of the supercell. Flumen forms at the junction of the inflow area and FFD, moving along the pseudo-warm front towards the RFB. Clouds rise along the airflow and move towards supercells, sometimes undergoing rotation. Flumen does not attach to murus clouds, which are in the bottom region of the updrafts below the lifting condensation level (LCL). Flumen's cloud base is higher than murus clouds, usually at or above the LCL. In this video, there is already a stable layer on the ground at night, and the huge lifting suction of the mesocyclone caused the formation of lifting and condensation in the stable layer, forming a double-layer flumen. http://t.cn/A63jVxQL
