Fed Mr. Whisker some Metacam and Gabapentin in the afternoon, and he just took a normal pee for me. 🥹
Found him expressing signs of early urine blockage, again, last night. Which is weird cuz I swear one minute ago he had a perfect pee right in front of me. But just as I thought he was done he went back to the toilet and started straining.
Man, you just peed, why are you pushing your empty bladder????
Then he started licking his penis, then more straining, then finally there was blood in his urine.
I didn’t panic this time as droplets of urine could still come out. All I needed to do is to soothe him and keep monitor his condition.
Apparently carnivores due to their diet naturally will have crystals present in their urine. As long as they drink plenty of water, those crystals will get flushed out causing no problem.
And that is THE problem for me.
Cuz Mr. Whisker drinks very little water under no supervision. I don’t know how or why all of a sudden he changed his drinking habit, but if I can’t find a way to make him drink voluntarily this ↑ will happen again, and soon. 😫😫😫
But at least I can sleep tonight. And go to work tomorrow, not that I care much… 🙊
