捕鼠大臣Larry the Cat的一封信,Prime ministers (and their pets) come and go but we all know who is the only permanent resident in Downing Street. That should give the new kitten pause
“While I'd like to believe I'm immortal - 17 and counting - I recognise that my time will come. When it does, I'd like to be stuffed and placed above a Downing Street fireplace as a reminder that the residents shouldn't do anything stupid. As I ascend to the mantel, hopefully one of these new kittens will be around to take on the mantle of chief mouser. The UK is a nation of animal-lovers and so its people need a national animal to love. It's been my privilege to fill that furry brief for a while.”
