斯拉夫民族有一种喝black tea的搭配，我觉得也适合喝锡兰红茶和阿萨姆红茶，就是用big chunky chewy的大果粒果酱佐茶，先吃一勺果酱含嘴里，再吸一口茶，用茶水把果酱稀的部份冲下去，留下大果粒再嚼一嚼，再喝一口茶，适合黄樱桃，大黄这种大块的jam。

果酱佐茶在安娜·阿赫玛托娃的早期诗歌里也有体现：

He loved three things alone:
White peacocks, evensong,
old maps of America.

He hated children crying,
and raspberry jam with his tea,
and womanish hysteria.
...And then he married me.
