This one was started on the plane by Dan, on our way to Bangkok in November 2022. Having spoken to Phum Viphurit about doing a collab for a while, we managed to book a session together while we were in town. Like working with Eddie, working with Phum felt very natural and easy. Lly and I played a DJ set in Bali the night before and therefore arrived a bit later to that session. But by the time we arrived, the guys had already recorded some sketch vocals and were trying out guitar parts... So we all had lunch together, kept on working in the afternoon and eventually took all these ideas back to London. The first thing I did was to put live drums on the demo, but it didn’t really work. So when we recorded it properly at Studios Ferber, Renaud Letang got out the Linn LM1 drum machine and instantly we felt we had something special, it had such a groove, and it exceeded the demo in every way.
