​I found her in an animal rescue in Beijing. She clutched her arms around mine, as if to say she had found me. Her personality stuck to me like that for 9 years, hence her name: 胶水 (glue). This year, she was diagnosed with cancer. She died with her arms around mine, peacefully and without pain, in Shanghai yesterday evening. She lived a privileged life and died with grace, surrounded by everyone who loved her.
