最近被一个国际关系的英文期刊拒稿了。被拒稿嘛，是学者的日常，早习惯了。但审稿人的有条意见让我不忿，他说I’m extremely concerned about the reliability of the data, especially given that the data was collected about citizens living in an authoritarian country by the authoritarian government. 我所用的CFPS是从2010年至今已开展过七轮调查的追踪数据，已在不同学科研究中广泛使用。虽然它也不完美，但体现的是中国社会科学研究者尝试基于大样本数据去客观地理解中国的努力，调查设计过程也得到了国际顶尖社会调查同行的指导和帮助。另外，an authoritarian country by the authoritarian government，这可是会被小学语文老师打红叉的语法错误啊！如果它不是赘余，那就是审稿人已无法控制内心强烈的偏见和情感了吧。
