【身在海底,每天都有奇妙的经历】
起因:我在公司“携程商旅平台”预定了11月24-27日的房间,但仅以我个人信息预定。我的床搭子会早于我到酒店。我需要跟酒店沟通,增加床搭子的名字。
于是,我拨打酒店前台电话,嘟嘟嘟…
前台:Do you want to reserve a room?
我:E…can you speak Chinese?
前台:No.I am English customer service specialist.
我:Is there another person can speak Chinese?
前台:Only me.
然后,前台就把我的来电 Transfer 到经理处,经理一句“你好”,换来我巴拉巴拉一顿中文输出。
最后,经理给了我酒店的Email address ,建议我发邮件确认。Both Chinese and English are acceptable.
事后,我和床搭子说:我自己用Chinglish持续输出、不管对方死活,貌似也没问题的…就是担心对方产生歧义。
I just want to add one person to my order.
This matter is so ordinary and simple.
But I am still worried about my oral English.
Speaking English is a challenge for me.
How smoothly my written English is!
