家长问：老师，第几大道需要加the吗？
街 (street)、大街 (avenue)、路 (road)、大道 (boulevard) 都不需要加 “the”。

Fifth Avenue is a great place to shop in New York.
第五大道是纽约购物的好地方。

你可以理解为，这里的每一条街道已经大写变成专有名词了，前面就不需要再加定冠词the了。

那什么时候需要加the呢？
1. 特定名词，两人说话特指的人和物
2.唯一的词，the sun, the moon
3.叙述词，形容名次顺序the first，the second
4.形容词副词的最高级
5.拥有同样性质的人
在形容词、分词、名词前面加上 “the”。

the rich 富人
the poor 穷人
the Jacksons 属于 Jackson 家族的成员
the French 法国人
