香港佳士得2019春拍的梵华古韵专场，推出15件臻选精品，是佛教艺术的豪华盛宴，旧金山绀氏旧藏2.41米的药师佛坐像属于恢宏巨制，但另一尊同样精致罕见的元代木雕堆漆菩萨坐像同样具有极高的艺术价值。

这尊自在座菩萨像具有强烈的元宫廷风格，开脸方正，神态端详，气度庄严，是一尊融汉尼藏三种艺术元素的罕见珍品，令人联想起来自尼泊尔的绝世艺术天才阿尼哥的风范。

诞生在尼泊尔马拉王朝时期的阿尼哥，年方17就被邀请到西藏协助八思巴大师营造黄金佛塔，声名鹊起，更得到元世祖忽必烈汗的赏识，前往元上都开始他在中原的艺术与建筑事业，设计修造了多个皇家大寺，包括著名的北京妙应寺白塔。

佳士得这尊木胎堆漆雕菩萨坐像，具有令人肃然起敬的皇家艺术气象，工艺细节一丝不苟，是难得一见的元朝木造像珍品。

An exceedingly rare carved wood and dry lacquered figure of a seated bodhisattva， attributed to Mongol empire of Yuan Dynasty in the 14th century, will be auctioned tomorrow in Hong Kong
This extraordinary wood sculpture, characterised by the elongated body, slim line waist and luxurious jewellery, captures the distinctive aesthetics of Nepalese Malla dynasty. Such artistic influence was brought to Yuan court by the genius Napelese architect Arniko when he was invited by Kublai Khan in 1262 to Beijing to becoming the imperial commissioner and designer for imperial Buddhist temple projects.
This master piece will be auctioned publicly in Hong Kong Christie’s spring sale on May 29.
