In Patch 8.1, players will be able to go through a special scenario in Darkshore, where Tyrande completes a ritual to become the Night Warrior. Completing this questline awards the achievement [In Teldrassil's Shadow], which unlocks a special "Night Warrior" customization option for Night Elves.

The Night Warrior is one of the names given to Elune. The common Night Elf Archaeology solve Necklace with Elune Pendant talks a bit more about the Night Warrior as one of Elune's aspects:
Elune is the primary goddess of the night elves. She is associated with the larger of the two moons, the White Lady. While she is a goddess of peace, she is not a pacifist. One of their aspects is the Night Warrior, who takes the valiant among the dead and sets them riding across the sky as stars.

By following the footsteps of the aspect of the Night Warrior, all novice members of the Sisterhood of Elune, the highest echelon of night elven priesthood, go through extensive tactical and combat training. Because of this training, many Night Elf Priestesses become military leaders within the Night Elven society. Sisters of Elune that became famous for their tactical prowess over the years include Tyrande herself, Shandris Feathermoon (General of the Sentinel Army) and Maiev Shadowsong (leader of The Wardens).
